UPGRADING THESE SPACES SUPPORTS THE GROWTH OF PALEXPO

Investing in regular works to upgrade Palexpo buildings is essential in order to maintain its attractiveness, improve the experience of the public as well as employees, ensure safety and compliance with regulations, and reinforce the company’s overall brand image. The head of the building department, Florian Lauber, who is in charge of regular and heavy-duty maintenance at Palexpo, describes the various works undertaken in 2023.

  • Upgrading the evacuation sound system in halls 1, 2, 4 and 5 to comply with standards and ensure people’s safety (scheduled to finish in 2024).
  • Connecting fire-detection systems at Palexpo and Arena to the network to increase the operational efficiency of the hub.
  • Cleaning all fixed ventilation hoods in kitchens and pure-air passages in the ventilation and heating system to comply with current standards.
  • Annual revision of electric doors, barriers, gates, and fire doors, and annual check of firewalls.
  • Assessment of Palexpo vehicles.
  • Maintenance of the parking management system and compressed air system, and repair of the garbage container.
  • Regular repairs linked to the masonry of the building (tiling, floor boxes, etc.).
  • Start of reflection on the painting of CC1.
  • Regular management of the central warehouse.
  • Participation in extension works on the convention centre for: heating, ventilation, fire detection, and evacuation sound system.
