A MINIMALIST PIECE OF ARCHITECTURE CONCEIVED IN THE SPIRIT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Representing a new stage in the growth of Palexpo that puts customer experience at the centre of its strategy, the extension of the Palexpo congress centre opened its doors at the end of November 2023 and hosted its first event – the Global Refugee Forum organised by HCR – from 12 to 16 December 2023.
Entirely steered by PAD, the project was entrusted to the Carouge-based architect firm Comte, Berthelot & Neto, and entirely designed in the spirit of sustainability and the environmental commitments of Palexpo.
The extension of the congress centre is a creative and innovative architectural project that now houses modern, luminous, minimalist spaces built from sustainable, green materials of superb quality.
The 1,600 m² multi-purpose extension consists of 12 new conference rooms that can accommodate 20 to 300 people, a modular foyer of 210 to 540 m². Equipped with the latest technologies in terms of visual projection, sound and connectivity, the space was designed to meet the growing demands of business clients.
An optimal configuration makes it adaptable for any event, and in particular to host several at the same time. Ideally located, the rooms can be accessed from the main boulevard of Palexpo or from the adjacent congress centre, for a total of 50 rooms and offices.
