Enhancing spaces and facilities
In 2024, Palexpo has undertaken other projects to enhance its spaces and modernise its facilities.
September 2024
Repairs to the waterproofing, expansion joints and asphalt on the south-east esplanade towards Tower 2 at level +6.00.
The work is being carried out by external contractors and monitored by the Steering, Architecture and Drawing (PAD) department.
October 2024
A new skatepark in the heart of the Parc Sarasin, with picnic areas and trees.
The project is supported by the Grand-Saconnex municipality and monitored by the PAD department.
November 2024
Renovation of office 0, located opposite room C in the Palexpo convention centre, with the installation of a false ceiling and LED lighting, the refurbishment of the walls and floor and the addition of a partition curtain to allow flexible division and optimise the surface area of the space.
The work was carried out by external contractors, with the PAD and BAT departments overseeing the ventilation work.
December 2024
Completion of the first part of the works to bring the roads and facilities up to standard, with the creation of a two-wheeler car park and a new pavement, a new barrier at the P13 car park on Rue Jo-Siffert, new traffic signs and a 20km/h speed limit.
The work was carried out by external contractors and monitored by the PAD department. Embellishing the service furniture in the convention centre extension. Work carried out by the Design, Printing and Signage Department (ADIS).
