autoXpérience Geneva

Behind the scenes of an express deployment

Created in just a few months by Palexpo and UPSA Geneva, autoXpérience Genève is not just a new motoring event, it’s striking proof that when an ambitious project meets ultra-efficient teams, everything goes perfectly! A real tour de force.

Chronology of an event created at breakneck speed

Summer 2024 – The idea takes to the road

It all started with a brainstorming session between Palexpo and UPSA Genève (the Geneva section of the Swiss Professional Automobile Union), which was convinced that enthusiasts and future buyers needed to be offered a unique experience: an event where they could compare, test drive and buy a new vehicle all in one place.

Autumn 2024 – The engine revs up

The coordination is put in place: each stand will be manned by several dealers representing the same brand, with marketing managed by UPSA Geneva and organisation entrusted to ORM, Palexpo’s own events organisation service. 92 models on test, more than 200 vehicles on display, 40 brands together: the broad outlines have been laid out, now it’s time to move up a gear.

December 2024 – Boost

Registering exhibitors, validating the number of vehicles expected, creating marketing materials and setting stand prices and sponsorship offers: in just one month, everything has to be completed. It’s a race against time – every entry counts to ensure the event’s viability. At the same time, the budget study is carried out rigorously, because Palexpo is committed to the project. It's a calculated risk-taking exercise in which the number of vehicles registered determines the event’s feasibility.

Mid-January 2025 – Green light!

Objective achieved: the 200 vehicles are confirmed, and the event can officially get underway! From now on, all Palexpo’s departments will be called upon to turn this project into reality:

  • The ORM department imagines the concept of the event and works on the scenography, organising numerous animations to offer an immersive experience for all generations, including the youngest visitors. Racing simulators, a track game, a karting circuit on wheels or wheel assembly/disassembly: it's a life-size playground that autoXpérience Genève intends to offer to all its visitors.

  • The company’s technical departments (technical coordination, architecture and design, signage, event layout) deploy all their expertise to ensure a smooth installation. From the strategic positioning of stands to optimising visitor flow, everything is designed to maximise exhibitor visibility and comfort.
  • The GRC (Customer Relationship Management) department handles ticketing and exhibitor/partner/media badges. Thanks to an intuitive, high-performance platform, ticket purchasing and access management are optimised for a seamless experience for visitors and exhibitors alike.

  • The catering teams create a varied catering concept, with garage-style food trucks and 100% street food menus: pizza, nuggets, hot dogs, salads, tacos and beer trucks.

T-1 week – Excitement builds

On 7 March 2025, autoXpérience Geneva gets ready to open its doors for three days. And dealer feedback is already very enthusiastic!

9 March 2025 – An all-round success

On the evening of 9 March 2025, autoXpérience Genève closed its doors after three days of excitement. Over 13,600 visitors came to explore the latest automotive innovations, try out almost 100 different models in over 400 test drives, and enjoy a unique experience in a festival-like atmosphere. The feedback was unanimous: autoXpérience Genève combined the expertise of Palexpo with the dynamics of the automotive sector to offer an event that was both innovative and effective. The concept proved its relevance and appeal, paving the way for an even more ambitious second edition scheduled for March 2026.
